QP Medicinal Chemistry and Therapeutics
Qualified Persons (QPs) cannot fulfil their role in a responsible way unless they understand the actions and uses of the medicinal products in clinical practice to judge their significance for commercial or clinical trial manufacture and supplies.
This course uses major therapeutic categories and basic physiology to discuss drug pharmacology, helping attendees understand the impact of a product on the body and its route into and through the body. It also covers the knowledge required by QPs to understand the potential impact of products being manufactured in a multi-product facility including that of cross contamination.
This training is provided by subject matter experts, utilises real life QP experience as well as worked manufacturing and packaging examples/ case studies.
There are two optional eLearning modules available with this course - a Knowledge Reinforcement Module entitled ‘QP Medicinal chemistry and therapeutics’ and a Skin Diseases module.

This is an essential course for QP trainees, including those with a little or no prior knowledge of pharmacology. The training provides a useful contribution to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for those wanting to learn more about medicinal products, especially those working in an operational environment (full scale or clinical trial), QC and QA.
